I watched the New Ninja Turtle Cartoon frequently, but forgot how much I love the original. Turtles Forever stirred all that up and I got inspired to return to my childhood a bit by trying my hand once again at the TMNT universe.
I started with Donatello, which was not in anyway my favorite. I think I started with him because I wanted to get him out of the way...but now I am moving on to Mikey and the rest of the cast and having quite a blast. I don't think I'm going to stop with just the four turtles however and I have collected images of all the old allies and baddies to update as well...No idea when I'll get to them all...but this is a casual project similar to the one I wanted to do of Freakazoid over two years ago that I still intend to work on.
Commissions have been slow as of late so I have had plenty of time to work on fan art as well as my own characters...Not that I get any money from that, but it does keep my brain active and my hand drawing...which is key in becoming more awesome than I know how to deal with.
My latest attempt at generating business is through the medium known as Portraitures. I like the product a lot and have generated some business in this form...but it really hasn't been as big this holiday season as I hoped it would have been. I'm still trying to put it out there in anyway I can think of...and I'm even taking a loss on the cheap prices I have been charging...So we'll see if I can get some stuff going in the next few weeks to help pay some bills.
Anyway...I should be updating DeviantArt more frequently in the coming months...and as usual, if you have any commission work you want done whether it be in pencils, inks, colors...or all three...feel free to contact me. I'm still underselling my work as I am trying to make a name for myself.
